Street Fighter IV Champion Edition available for pre-registration now

  • Capcom Mobile has opened pre-registration for Street Fighter IV Champion Edition.
  • The game will finally come to Android after having been released on iOS in July 2017.
  • Champion Edition is the mobile version of the 2008 title, featuring 25 characters and the ability to play online.

Despite having been released on iOS in July last year, Street Fighter IV Champion Edition is yet to make its way over to Android. However, according to a tweet by the official Capcom Twitter account, it’s arriving shortly.

While the tweet doesn’t give an exact date, it does say that the game is “coming soon” and also gives interested gamers the chance to pre-register so they can be made aware of its release when it’s available.

The game features 25 Street Fighter characters as well as well as the opportunity to play against players from around the world online. Its the latest in a long line of Capcom classics making the jump to mobile, including Ghosts’n Goblins, Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney, and all six Mega Man titles.

It’s an exciting time to be a fighting game fan on Android as Bandai Namco is also set to release a new title in their long-running fighting series Tekken this month (this week if you are in Europe). Which game are you most looking forward to playing? Let us know in the comments.
